BAD WEBCAM SHOTS AHOY I need a camera jesus these are so awful

current work! painted for ~3 hours or so today, mostly working on the night sky

(the weird white splotches will eventually be in color—I’m using white so the colors maintain intensity, because most of the paints aren’t sufficiently opaque to paint over other colors if I want them to be bright)

three paintings in various stages of progress. the one on the right (which I swear is not nearly as disgusting as this shot makes it appear, ugh) is the most incomplete (only painted the sky today), the blue mushrooms are an underpainting, the angel is ~in progress but the color scheme is k i l l i ng me

painted for 3.5 hours today with the end result of BACK PAIN! so I am heading home from the studio now

awkward low-quality webcam shots from the studio I paint at

LEFT: space painting, which is 24 x 46 inches a.k.a. BIG the photo completely fails to show this. mostly complete, unvarnished
RIGHT: super rough underpainting to give myself an idea of color scheme for … you figure it out akdljsf but it’s actually quite a lot smaller, only 13 x 30 inches. hopefully the actual work will be painted vaguely in the impressionist style of cassatt

I should really buy a camera, attempting to show something dependent on color and detail without detail or good color is ridiculous
